So who is Dave Sbu?

Dave Sbu is a rapper, actor, music producer, video editor, and director from Ratanda, Heidelberg South Africa. He grew up in Gauteng but is currently based in Cape Town, He started as a beatmaker at the age of 16 then went straight into video editing and animation. He has worked with artists in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Ethiopia and he has just recently toke part in the upcoming Netflix series Blood and Water (season 2) as an extra student.

What makes his music so great?

Dave is creative and his sound makes him different from the rest, His music is inspired by Kanye West, Dr Dre, Prokid, Daft Punk, Swedish House mafia, Culoe De Song, Kenny G, and Michael Jackson.

He grew up in Ratanda where it is a "house music" dominated area, and his love for Hip Hop and House music makes him make beats that have hard kicks with electronic leads and synthesizers, classical strings, and African percussions; which you might mistake for pop music from this description but its pure rap music in its unique form.

What's in store for Dave Sbu to the people?

He is released his big single Titled Savage Zulu on the 7th of May 2021. The song is about living your life to the fullest. It is catchy and it's great with a vibrant sound and a hard kicking beat. Its Just unique... It is a Rap song that Anyone can dance to regardless of age, gender, geography, and Status ..It's a song for everyone!

Savage Zulu is the first single off his upcoming album Titled State of Maturity
