Mwanye, the pseudonym of the talented recording artist, rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer Robert Mwanyekanke Estevão, is a force to be reckoned with. Born in Potchefstroom on June 16, 2002, and later relocating to Pretoria at the tender age of 2, Mwanye's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. From a young age, Mwanye discovered his passion for art, often finding himself lost in his drawings during class, much to the dismay of his teachers. Surrounded by a rich tapestry of music from diverse backgrounds and cultures, thanks to his aunt and father, Mwanye's artistic spirit flourished.

Despite having strict parents who doubted the viability of a career in music, Mwanye recognized the boundless potential within the ever-changing world, where traditional job opportunities and economic stability seemed uncertain. To everyone's astonishment, he emerged victorious, igniting a fire within him that would forever change the course of his life.

It wasn't until the 11th grade that Mwanye decided to take his musical talents seriously. In secret, he transformed his art storeroom into a makeshift recording studio, using lunch breaks and after-school hours to refine his craft. With sheer determination, he ventured into open mic nights and talent shows, consistently leaving audiences in awe of his undeniable talent.
