So who is Lil Capo? 

Lil Capo is a South African drill and hip-hop artist whose love for music began at the age of 10. Born in Johannesburg and raised between Johannesburg and Cape Town, he discovered music as an outlet during his childhood. Before stepping into a recording studio, he spent years writing poems, freestyling in class, making beats on his phone, and teaching himself the basics of music production.

What started as a way to express himself gradually became a lifelong passion. Through poetry and freestyle, Lil Capo found his voice, using music to tell stories inspired by the people, places, and experiences that shaped him. Those early years laid the foundation for the artist he is today.

Inspired by artists such as Central Cee, Nemzzz, and Skepta, Lil Capo has developed a sound that blends the hard-hitting energy of UK drill with the perspective of a South African artist. His debut studio single, "South Africa," introduced listeners to an artist focused on honest storytelling and authentic expression. Since then, he has continued to grow, building a catalogue that reflects both his personal journey and his evolution as an artist.

His latest project, "CPT TO JHB," is a tribute to the two cities that have had the biggest influence on his life. More than just an album title, it represents his journey between Johannesburg, where he was born, and Cape Town, where he was raised. The project explores identity, growth, family, loyalty, and the experiences that come with carrying the spirit of both cities wherever he goes.
